Product and process characteristics
KEOPE tiles and special pieces in porcelain stoneware are obtained from high-quality raw materials, prestigious clays with the addition of feldspars and kaolins, which are atomized and dry-pressed at a specific pressure of 450 Kg/cm2 and then fired in thermal cycles at a temperature of 1250° C. The resulting material consists of a single, compact body which is frost-proof, non-absorbent and resistant to chemical and physical attacks.

Reference legislation: UNI EN 14411 and ISO 13006 Compliance with standards and the maintenance of said characteristics is guaranteed by the Quality Management System set up by Ceramiche Keope and certified according to the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard.
UNI 11493 standard
The aforementioned standard, which can be relied on for the protection of designers and customers, applies to the installation of floors and walls, indoors or outdoors, cement grout, epoxy, or made with other types of adhesives. In addition to that, it regulates the choice of materials, design, installation, product maintenance.
The norm provides, among other things, the correct cleaning of the surface at the same time as the installation, to completely remove the materials used for bonding. UNI 11493 was introduced for the first time in June 2013 and was revised in 2016, creating the following two parts:
UNI 11493-1: 2016 Ceramic floor and wall tiling - Part 1: Instructions for design, installation and maintenance [replacing the UNI 11493:2013] UNI 11493-2: 2016 Ceramic floor and wall tiling - Part 2: Knowledge, skill and competence requirements for ceramic floor and wall tile layers.
This manual has been drawn up in compliance with the national UNI 11493 which regulates the installation of ceramic tiles on floors and walls for indoors and outdoors, installed mainly with adhesives, but also with cement mortar or other systems. The aim of the standard, which is intended to be a reference text for the sector, is to ensure the achievement of a high qualitative level and its maintenance over time.
